Translated from  Urdu by pavan k. Varma:

The heart seeks again those momentnt of leisure

When all day and night we just sat thinking of the beloved.

The heart seeks again those moment of leisure.

Lying in the  mellow winter sun

The shade of your aanchal pulled over my  eyes

Face, down, and sometimes on one's side

Or, on summer nights, when the east wind blows

To lie awake for long  on cold white   sheets

Sprawled on the roof, gazing at the stars.

On some cold snowy night perhaps

To sit again in the embrace of that       mountain

And listen to the silence echoing in the valley.

The heart seeks again those moment of leisure when all day and night we just sat thinking of the beloved.

An Activity presented by the  semester 03 students of the English Department:

This poem  was taught to us  very well by hina ma'am he taught it to us using simple English words. She made great efforts so that we could remember it by playing the song of the  poem. An  activity was also conducted by her, which is as follows.

In the translation paper, there is a ghazal, so to help us remember it well, Hina  madam organized an event. The theme of this  activity was to  come  wearing black and pink colour clothes. In the morning  lecture, the activity was inaugurated by Hina  madam's speech. Various designs were drawn on the board as part of the activity. It was nice and wonderful. After that,  the activity began in the  third  lecture. Dr. Purvi madam and heena madam from  the English department were present. It was decided to sing  a poem by Gulzar. Two circles were formed.

After that, purvi madam guided us. then, we all sang  the Gazal 'dil dhudhta hai' together. Afterwords, it was translated into English. Finally, we took group photos together. The delightful  thing is  that Hina madam and purvi madam also cam wearing the same  clothes as ours. They stayed  with us  and guided us. They work hard  for us.

My Experience in this Activity :

When Hina ma'am asked  us to  sing the gazal, I  wondered how we would present it. There  was a nervous feeling in my mind that this presentation might not happen. Honestly, it was difficult, and we worked  hard  to present it. Hina madam made us  practice  many times. This activity was quite challenges. We  made  small  mistakes here and there, but overall, it turned out to be a  wonderful activity.

I express my heartfelt gratitude to  Hina ma'am for conducting this Activity so wonderfully with gulzar's gazal. We might have memorised the ghazal here and there on our own, but Hina madam explained it clearly and , through the Activity, helped us  remember it even better. Thank you Hina ma'am.

Thank you..!
